Thank you Roseann for your years of service to the city of Selma
Roseann Galvan was raised in Selma and attended Selma schools, graduating from Selma High School. She attended Fresno City College, transferring to San Diego State University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management.
She worked for Selma District Hospital, Kings View Corporation, Fresno Metropolitan Museum before taking a job with the City of Selma in 1995. After 22 years of service to the community she retired in January 2017.
Galvan has served with numerous organizations over the years. She has been President of the Selma District Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club of Greater Selma, Selma Women's Club, Fresno Women's Network and American Marketing Association-Fresno Chapter. She was Selma Citizen of the Year in 2000. She serves in the Children's Program for Northwest Church as well as serving in the Bible Study Fellowship. Over the years she has worked on many fund raising events in the community for Selma Arts Foundation, Selma Cares, Selma Cancer Support, Selma Hospital Foundation, and has chaired the Kiwanis Selma Raisen Festival Family Fun Run for over 20 years.
Her family includes her husband Rolland, daughter Erica and her husband Matt, and grandson Landon. Her mother, Elenor Erlenheim still resides in Selma.
